This site is operated by CJ Chase Business Solutions Ltd (“we”, “I”), a company registered in England & Wales (No. 11756805), based in East Brent, Somerset. This policy explains how your information is handled when you visit the site or get in touch. It is written to reflect what the site actually does, which is not much.
We are the data controller for the limited personal data described below. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact Mark Lugg at mark.lugg@CJChaseBusinessSolutions.com.
The short version
This is a brochure website with no accounts, no login, no shopping basket and no contact form. It does not sell data or run advertising. It uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count visits, and the only way you share personal data with us directly is if you choose to email or message us.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the site is performing. It is privacy-focused and does not use cookies or store any information on your device. It does not collect data that identifies you personally, and it does not track you across other websites. The data we see is aggregate and anonymous, such as page views, approximate country, referring site, browser and device type. We rely on our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used to run this analytics.
When you contact us
If you email the address on this site or message us on LinkedIn, we receive whatever you choose to send, typically your name, email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to you and to take forward any work that may follow. We keep correspondence for as long as it is needed for that purpose and for our ordinary business records, and no longer than necessary. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and, where we go on to work together, the performance of a contract.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Vercel, which serves the pages and, as part of normal operation, processes technical information such as IP addresses in server logs to deliver the site securely. We do not use these logs to identify or track individual visitors.
Links to other sites
Some links take you to other websites, such as Amazon, LinkedIn, the Met Office data portals and piratejoeadventures.com. Once you follow a link, this policy no longer applies, and those sites have their own privacy policies that we do not control.
Cookies
This site does not set its own cookies, and the analytics we use are cookieless. That is why you will not see a cookie banner.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over your personal data, including the right to ask what we hold, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. To exercise any of these, email mark.lugg@CJChaseBusinessSolutions.com and we will respond. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page.
